Working with Tredwell Management and University of Ballarat, IPOS carried out the Natural Vs Synthetic Turf Study for the Department of Sport and Recreation WA. The study provided an object report comparing the use of natural and synthetic turf for the construction of sports grounds.
The study addressed issues including demand / capacity, environmental impacts, social impacts, health impacts and life cycle costs.
The study also developed a ‘Decision Making Guide’ to assist organisations in decision making in relation to natural Vs synthetic turf. The report is available on the WA Department of Sport and Recreation web site.
